“The way we do business is driven by our rich history”
The way we do business is driven by our rich history. Our history drives our thinking, our processes and keeps us focused and committed to achieving something that we are all proud of. Our expertise is drawn from the experience within its team accumulated through the years with McKay Group Home Improvements. Daniel Johnson, current owner of Immaculate Homes, worked for many years with Peter McKay, owner of McKay Group Home Improvements, and their strong business relationship has led to this new partnership which has seen Immaculate Homes go from strength to strength.
While the company now operates under the Immaculate Homes name the original McKay Group Home Improvement team, including Peter McKay, continue to all work together. Peter established a reputation for McKay Group Home Improvements for quality and reliability. Peter describes this philosophy very simply – to deliver what is expected and treat people honestly.
“To deliver what is expected and treat people honestly”
Early in his working life, Peter realised he had a passion for technology and building, having undertaken his apprenticeship and a building certificate course at the same time. After starting in high rise construction, then moving through the ranks with Jennings Home Improvements, he established his own business. Daniel undertook his own carpentry apprenticeship with McKay Group Home Improvements and, just like Peter, completed his Building Certificate at the same time as finishing his apprenticeship. Daniel continued to invest in his education, earning a degree in Construction Management while working.
From the very beginnings of McKay Group, Peter knew the success to any business would be through customer satisfaction. And he knew the key to customer satisfaction was producing quality projects. For this reason, a strong set of systems and processes was developed from the very early days of the business. As time and technology progressed, the systems and processes further developed to become the refined systems we have in place today. Peter taught his staff to view every project from the client’s perspective, and this base foundation has today become an integral part of the Immaculate Homes experience, which sees the amassed years of experience in the team ensure a successful outcome for all involved.
“View every project from the client’s perspective”
Both Daniel and Peter agree there is no greater satisfaction than in a job done well and this philosophy is one they continue to disseminate throughout the team. A passion for quality, excellent workmanship, functional design and high standards is the basis of every project undertaken by Immaculate Homes.
For Daniel, a life opportunity saw him move to Perth for a few years before moving back to Sydney to re-establish a connection with McKay Group. Immaculate Homes was set up while Peter made preparations to retire the McKay Group brand with the intention of forming the relationship that is now Immaculate Homes.
Daniel and Peter’s business relationship has been incredibly successful and fulfilling for both men. Peter is confident in Daniel’s ability to take his legacy to the next level and continue to provide excellence in workmanship, while Daniel appreciates, among other things, Peter’s continual focus to implement new technology to refine the processes and systems developed to maximise time and cost savings on site (a huge impact in renovation work).
Immaculate Homes is now cemented in Sydney’s renovation industry and is quickly making its mark among customers who appreciate the attention to detail shown. As Daniel explains, Immaculate Homes works with a set of standards that are non-negotiable to ensure the company will only provide a product of which they are proud, and an environment where everyone on the team has an opportunity to contribute. “The company does not compete to provide its customers with the lowest price but competes to provide its customer with a project that everyone is proud of,” he says.
“Immaculate Homes works with a set of standards that are non-negotiable”
Both Daniel and Peter recognise there is a huge trust level when working in someone’s home, not only because of the emotional connection to the space, but also the level of responsibility taken when building someone’s dream. Daniel and Peter appreciate that a successful team needs to have the right combination of people and expertise, and that success comes from the result of everyone’s efforts, rather than a single individual.
Since the beginning Immaculate Homes has solidified its position in the market and continued the tradition of McKay Group. With the overriding goal to fulfill the building dreams of customers, Immaculate Homes takes pride in its history and looks to the future of renovations, backed by a team of experts with years of experience.
